Assessment Structure

J.S. Public School follows the assessment structure prescribed by the CBSE. The academic year is divided into two terms for a comprehensive evaluation of students.

  • Periodic Assessments (Internal) Conducted regularly to track continuous progress. Includes pen-and-paper tests, multiple assessments, portfolio, and subject enrichment activities.
  • Half Yearly Examination (Term I) Comprehensive assessment covering the first half of the syllabus. Evaluates understanding and application of concepts learned.
  • Annual Examination (Term II) Final assessment covering the entire syllabus (with varying weightage from Term I for senior classes as per CBSE norms).

Examination Guidelines

Reporting Time

Students must report to the examination hall at least 15 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the exam. Latecomers will not be allowed.

Admit Card & Uniform

It is mandatory to bring the physical Admit Card (for board classes) and ID card. Proper school uniform is compulsory during all examinations.

Prohibited Items

Electronic gadgets, smartwatches, mobile phones, calculators (unless specified), and any unapproved written materials are strictly prohibited.

Unfair Means (UFM)

Any student found using unfair means will face strict disciplinary action, which may include cancellation of the exam paper.
